Um by checking the ecu he means see if its throwing any codes out. Now by throwing codes it not gonna actually throw anything just check the blinking light and look on here or google for a breakdown to tell what code that is.S13240 wrote:Check ecu
Gramentz wrote:Is the ground wire for the coil packs securely tightened? You can check to see if the coil packs are getting power via multimeter. Maybe the coil packs are bad. It could also be a matter of the CAS....check to see if that is getting proper voltage. You can check to see if your ignitor chip is defective too. If all those turn out to be good, then I would first check to see if you're throwing any codes on the ecu. If that's good, then pop the cover off of your ecu and closely examine to see if there are any tiny bubbles in the film/ corrosion/ etc. I actually had the same problem as you, and my problem was a bad ecu. I looked up the pages in the FSM for ya, here they are.
Coil Packs- EC 202
Ignitor Chip- EC 202
CAS- EC 201.
Hope that helped.
Awesome thank you guys so much!!tenkawa_akito wrote:fint, i combined both of your "won't start" threads. there's no need to have repetative threads.
I also cleaned up the stupidity from both. Everyone please be more helpful in the future. I'm tired of seeing so many "hahaha! you noob! you can't search so here's a sarcastic picture!" posts.
