ok hopefully the last question i have.... there are 5 wires comming down from the key switch and plug into my turbo timer harness. my question is what is the color of the wire or wires that only have 12 volts when the key is in the start postion. to clearify: i know there is a wire that is always getting 12 volts im asuming it would be called the battery wire, and the is a wire that gets 12 volts when the key is in the ignition spot aka ignition wire, but what is the wire or wires that gets that 12 volts in the start spot? i just need the color of the wire from the key switch or the color of the wire on the hks turbo timer harness. its times like these i wish i had a volt meter or knew how to use one. haha. thank you.

So you're looking for the "starter" wire correct?

the simpilest way to determine which wire is which is to use a test light or volt meter. Measure each wire with the ignition off, acc, and on position. The wire that has 12 volts when the key is off is your constant. The wire that gets power when the key is in the acc position is your accessory wire. and so forth. I know in the apex turbo timer red gets hooked up to white with red strip. Blue goes to blue and green goes to balck with white stripe.

OK this is what I got so far...white/red battery, black/yellow starter, blue accessory, black/white ignition, black/green ? now the volt meter and the know how would come in handy. someone know bout this black/green wire...second starter wire maybe? i hooked the two wires black/yellow and black/green and the push botton works but now i have to somehow bypass the key. only problem with that is if i bypass it then i can not turn off my car. haha. any ideas?

i dont think you should bypass the "on" switch because it sounds like it would make it so anyone could start the car.

i'd say to just tap the wires you need to so that you would still need the key to put it into the on position and have the choice of turning the key or hittin the button. :)
