I found some watanabe's 16x7 (front) +3816x8 (rear) +38

I have an s13 and I am looking to get either k sport coilovers or Megan Racing street coilovers.

I know the stock offset is +40 so these should fit right, but how are they gonna look.Anyone have a similar sized wheel?thanks.

they will not clear coilovers. you will need to run spacers,ATLEAST up front.

and they're gonna look battleshipped, pretty well sunken in.

AND USE THE DAMN SEARCH BUTTON!!!!

Bull. They will clear coilovers. I can fit a 16x8+35 up front. His 16x7 +38s will have approximately 10mm more clearance. The determining factor would be the tires. If he were to run some really wide tires on there, they might end up rubbing. 205s would be fine.

x8 +35 is an often recommended fitment for the front with coilovers.

I just tried to fit my 15x6.5 +40 (S14 4 lugs) onto the front of my S13and they don't even get all the way onto the hub before they hit thecoilover's lower bracket.

a 16x7 +38 has 4mm less of inside clearance than the 6.5 +40, without even taking into account that there needs to be a tire on there.

i just don't think that +38 wat's are gonna clear. If I'm wrong, lightning willstrike me down in the form of a b!tchslap from chet.

I have KTS and s13 factory alloys (15X6 +40) with a 205/55/15 G-force t/a KDW2 and they fit fine, even when I had the softer/bigger sidewalls (205/60/15 sumitomo omethen or other) I didnt really have problems rubbing while cornering...

Yeah, but his will be .25 inches closer to the shock because of the extra width. It still should have cleared fine though. My 16x7+32s clear with about 1/2 inch to spare, and 15x6.5+40 should only be a bit closer. I guess those zeals are just rocking a huge strut size.

I am actually gonna pass on these. I was kinda settling anyway. I liked the wheels but I really want some meshies. Anyway for a street wheel/tire combo I will be going with something else. I do have a question with tire selection though.I was wondering what staggered sizes you guys with 17's are running?I was thinking 215/45/17 front 245/45/17 rear.I played with the math a little bit and the overall wheel diameter is quite a bit off. The diameter I have now is 21.84 inches. the front diameter with the 215/45/17 is 24.6 and 245/45/17 is 25.6I am not sure if that is a big deal or not. Are these good sizes? I also might go with a 225 in the front. also the wheels are 17x7.5 front and 17x8.5 rear. Anyway thanks for reading this (if you did anyway).

i dont know what size youre running thats 21.84 inches, but thats terrible for this car

depending on offsets, with those sizes id either run 215/235, or 225/245

all would be 45 aspect ratio sidewall

i am running 205/50/16. I don't know if its so terrible, I think it actually works pretty well.I will probably run the 225/245. I have some 245 tires from my Z28.
