I am looking for a t3/t4 turbo to replace the stocker. I would prefer internally gated but I do have a 35mm tial if I need it. I am only shooting for 350-400 hp. Spool time is important but cost is even more important.

Any suggestions as to trim? a/r? Any suggestions as to where to buy? I would like to stay around $300 like you see on ebay.

im seeing more of the 500+ price range.

unless your talking about those pieces of junk t3/t4s from like XS power or something.

my t3/t4 is a .48a/r and 57 trim. the a/r is way tiny but i see boost like no other. im hoping to squeeze 350 out of it if it has enough juice to flow that much.

I was looking at the XS power ones. what's wrong with them? I could probably spring for about $450 max.

I've heard bad things about their manifolds but everything I've ever got from them has been excellent quality. My tial I mention is actually a xs tial knock-off. It has worked great. What about the size on that though. would that suit my goals? Oh and this is an RB25 too...forgot to mention that.

xs power not to be confused with xs engineering

makes crappy turbos like the ones ssa makes.

Of course, I never had exp with them. I don't want to waste my money like that. do a search on SSA turbo and XS turbo and you'll see some problems

Cheapturbo.com is a great source, even if a bit pricey.

T3/T4

50 A/R COMPRESSOR

.63 A/R TURBINE

.57 TRIM

i would say go for .86 af if available for better mid to top end performance on the 25.the .63 would be better on the 20.

i would use at least the .84 housing on an rb25. but that means you will have to go t4 flanged. If you need one, i have a adapter that lets you run a t4 turbo on a stock manifold and also has a 38mm tial wastegate flange on it.

really the only 6 cyl motor i would ever run a t3 flanged turbo on would be an rb20

well the stock turbo can make ~300 hp. I am sure there is a larger one you can put on there to make an extra 50-100 hp without upgrading manifolds.

about $450 max. on the turbo.

here's the deal. I want to put the stock turbo on my bike and get a new one for the car to kill 2 birds with one stone. I will probably only have the car another 1 - 2 years. I am sure one of the cheaper ebay ones will last at least a year.

its not the fact of if they last a year. its more like, what flying objects are they gonna send into the engine?

if your pretty set on using the SS/ebay turbos then i guess nothing to tell u. get those t3/t4 spec ones and go with that then.

good luck
