Now I'm thinking it warrants a closer look... but what's most disturbing to me is the extreme double-standard we're seeing here...

No, I don't think that's it. This one's gonna be hard to explain, so bear with me... We're hearing all this talk about "preserving and defending the rights" of illegal immigrants, foreign enemy combatants, terrorists, and other individuals who are supposedly afforded "due process" via our judicial system. But we've got this OTHER group, who we've decided need to be "shot on sight" - No due process, no trial, no defense attorneys, no "neutral venue".

That's where I feel like we have a double-standard. Hope it makes sense.

However, as for terrorists, I feel that we should eliminate them , even if they are US citizens. Sure it doesn't sound good or look good but if it's nescesary, we have to do it. I may not like the trend but post 9/11, it seems like we're headed down this path.

I'm fine with that as well, as long as it's universal - In that case, let's fire up "Ol' Sparky" - there's several of these guys hogging up the Federal prison system awaiting trial.

All I know is an illegal immigrant is a tresspasser and a thief. If I caught someone tresspassing on my property, I'd shoot, plain and simple.

My only concern is here that random person A reports you as a terrorlst. Random person B lacks any concept of oversight and agrees, so you get shot. Shoot terrorists all you want, I'd just like a little due process.

Funny thing is a bud called me up a few minutes ago and said somebody he worked with told him that Obama had "signed an executive order on monday, legalizing the assasination of US Citizens."
