Well what can i say ,got my a** smoked today .It wasn't really a race, but we both got on the throtle kinda hard,i got up next to the guy , dropped it to third and put the peddle to the floor.I looked in my rear mirror and he was gone. but wait that is only because he was on my side flying by me in his porsche 911 turbo. the best part when i caught up with him at a light it was older man (maybe in his 60s) with a s*** eating grin on his face, i tell ya it was priceless.

Haha I'd hope a turbo porsche would smash our cars. Otherwise I'd say porsche isn't doing something right. I embarrassed a GTI a couple days ago. He launched and i casually left the line and still beat him to the next light.

i raced an NSX... matched him quite well surprisingly enough... he got wreckless on the highway and started cutting people off and i dint wanna go there with him so i just eased off.

I kept toe to toe with an SL500 a few months back until we hit traffic, beat an M3 on a long stretch because the sucker couldn't use a stick (thanks CVT) and toyed around with a Suzuki bike today (not sure what kind).

My UpRev tune gave me tons of low-end torque, and I might ... just might be able to break into the 12's on the 1/4mi. I have done it on a crappy GPS speedometer, but I'll have to put it to the test on a track sooner or later.

Funkee, whats ur hp and Tq? i know you posted somewhere but I'm lazy lol. I have not seen a N/A 3.5 break 13's with no additives which is possible but still to be done. A while back there was a maxima (prev. gen) that was driving like an a**, he tried to pass me and I said f**k u ! He didn't gain an inch on me lol. I've beaten/passed many v6's and a few v8's, and have beaten every equivalent 4cyl. Had people ask me if it was a v6, they dont believe me when I say a 4 banger ! I love knowing how to drive my car lol.

I beat a brand new 2011 328i (white) by a hood length. I just drove casually up to a stop light and just happened to give it some gas when it turned green next to the BMW and the homeboy had to try and race me. Only lasted about 2 bus lengths

The 201x BMW 328i Sedan accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 sec - tie / possible win for 3.5 SE(R)
20xx GTI WW - matches our own straight line times 6.4s.
2001 Acura NSX 0-60 mph 4.4s. The slowest I recall was the 1991 edition (possibly the 1st released) around 5.7 s - impressive job if you actually matched him

There are more stupid drivers with V8s and Fast cars then can drive them. In the area I live, the few who dont get jacked up trucks, get the chargers and mustangs. So far the only one to hand me smoke and rubber was a guy in a newer Corvette comming out of warrenton. He knew how to drive. I started falling behind from the start. To date all others have messed up shifting or gave up. I understand that under normal track conditions a 5.0 420hp 2012 mustang should crush a 3.5 300hp altima, but the street realitys are, just cuz you have more motor does not make you a better driver. Now, down at the track is a different story. There you can find guys who practice launching and running through the gears fast, there you would maybe get a more accurate race. But we are talking about everyday on the street, not the track. People look at the small altima coupe and think "Dumb Jap car thinks he is going to beat me with his 180hp rice burner lol" And then they get the surprise. Then they panic. Shifting + Panic = fail every time.

Thank you! That is a very important thing, I know how to drive my car, a lot of people simply don't!! If you note, I also said passed, in most cases that includes v8 cars and trucks, though not really sports cars I can think of, I know many times people tried to keep me behind them. Because for some reason they try to speed up when I try to pass them, Sometimes I'll be going 85-95mph by the time I pass them because this . Poeple just cant let others pass them can they ?? As for a actual race, I raced a Chevy Monte Carlo SS in the 1/8th and lost by less then a fender, if I had the full 1/4 I would have passed the car. Not all V8's are fast u know I have raced a few and have won a few times! As far as launching, I have managed a low 2.2 60" on the factory tires the car came with .
