not really having issues for help, more of an inquiry, couldnt find anything about it on google.

i noticed on the side of my head, there is a 2L marking. just wondering what thats about??

also, got the pan off my bottom end, to fix my oil leak, now. i noticed the con rods and caps have been stamped with numbers, is this from factory? or has my engine since been rebuilt?? any help is greatly appreciated

engine probably been rebuilt. My head says 2L also, not sure exactly what it means lol

The stamps are are stock. They tell you what size bearings to use when rebuilding the motor to factory specs.

Where does it say 2L? I doubt it means anything regardless.

hmm, my con rod caps didnt have numbers stamped into them when i cracked mine open, usualy stamps are a sign of a machine shop having had the caps off to do some internal work

I could be wrong. It has been like 4 years since I've seen the inside of my motor, but I could swear there were stamps on the sides of the conrods where the cap and rod meet. Just on one side of the con rod too.
