Another update on EV's Versa

Was bored so I bugged the body shop again today.

They have received SOME of the parts for the Versa. They should theoretically received the remained on Friday, so I might actually have my car back next week.

Total damages now exceed $6000.

I'm glad that you didn't have any more damage than you already have. If you did, you probably would've totaled the car. If the V wasn't such a new car, then it probably been a little bit cheaper.

Totalling would have sucked. I would have had to find a way to get to Lewiston to buy a new one, and it wouldn't be the same color.

No, it's simple economics. If it is cheaper to repair the car than to replace the car, then it's repaired. If not, the car is totalled.

"replacement" cost depends on the age and mileage of the car. Because there are no used Versas, replacement cost is almost the same as a new purchase.

However, if I looked at my RX-7 funny, I would total it, because it's not worth much.
