The jack and spare tire rod was banging around the back of the truck. Found a way to fix it and look nice. I have king cab, but will work in any cab. You need to clip it to back of the cab inside behind seat. Go to junk yard and get the 2 clips that hold the visors to the roof, they are perfect size for the jack rod. Drill two small holes and mount those clips to back of the cab inside, the openings are perfect to hold the jack rod tight and noise free. I had to remove the metal panel just under back window drop carpet and drill pilot holes. Dropped the carpet down to drill then put it all back and looks factory. If no carpet, drill where you like. I put mine just below back window to clear speaker box. Cheap and easy and rod is easy to reach but no longer rattles around in back. The clips cost 1 buck, I love cheap stuff.

Good to know as those original clips are usually broken.
I secured mine high up with two wire harness holders cut to work.

Cool another good way, the clips in mine where there and seemed to not be broken but were no where near large enough for rod they hung right there under that metal piece at bottom of window, looked like they may have been for clipping something else to them, they were small. Maybe like cargo net hooks or something.

Those clips held the jump seat seatbelts.

AHHHH well i took mine out and used that area to house rear speakers set of 6 1/2 inch component speakers with external tweeters to fill in back area with some highs to offset the 2 12 inch subs hehe Lot of speakers for small truck but sounds great and the jump seat area had plenty of depth for the speakers. Box would have and does block entire back area so stock mounting spots would not work. Jump seats useless to me anyway hehe
