Hi.. I spent last night searching different forums for topics about bad TPS. I found some people having same problem as me, but no one came back with a sollution.... That should in theori mean that alot of cars still drive around with there TPS problems.. Thing is that most people forget to come back to their thread to tell when they fixed the problem..
I have a 180SX S13 year´91 with JDM Redtop. Car is a Jap import. It started to run bad and wont rev past 4500 rpm. When i unplug the TPS it will rev fine. Still doesnt drive real good, but that probably due to the TPS NOT being connected. So i wanted to measure the values of the TPS.. I found the Factory Service Manual and found the TPS troubleshooting. The manual states that there should only be 3 wires of the TPS like all other TPS I´ve seen.. But my TPS got 6 wires out of it.... Do ANY of you know why i have a TPS with 6 wires from it....!?? If so, do ANY of you know how to measure the values of it. ( between wich wires.? as the manual just states 3 wires.. and i got 6 i dont know wich wires to measure between.)Any help would be great!
Thanks(and sorry for the language.. Im from Denmark in Europe!
