I personally think people are trying to milk toyota right now. All of the claims about cars not stopping, yet after the government has put numerous employee's in them and made them drive and try to duplicate the problem, and not a single fault. IMHO people jumped on the bandwagon

I see it as exactly the opposite:
Toyota's days of cruising past on a reputation attained over a decade ago are coming to an end. People are finally acknowledging that Toyota makes mistakes, too. And more than that, the downside to Toyota's volume-volume-volume business strategy of the last 10 years is beginning to come to the forefront.

Toyota of 1998 would not have had these problems. Toyota of 2011 does. This is not a bandwagon issue, it's a quality control issue.

All car makers have problems with QC, what I am saying is that the problems at hand CAN NOT and HAVE NOT been duplicated.

EDIT: I'll retract my statement that the new problem can not be duplicated, but the problem with cars accelerating on their own cant/hasnt been duplicated
