So when I set my timing then adjust my idle... Do I plug in the TPS with the car running?

I plugged it in without the car running and I seem to idle 300 high now. My car also dies if I push in clutch above 2500rpm's

My base timing was at 13-BTDC I just set it to 18ish... I have never looked at my timing before... No wonder I lacked power :P

You have to unplug the TPS when checking your timing. Doing so sets your idle at its base RPM. Afterwards set your idle with TPS unplugged with the idle screw.

I did this... and my idle was 700 with the TPS unplugged. I plugged it and not it idles at 1000... and it dies when I push in the clutch while the car is under load.
