Ok first ill list all my mods.-14 t28 @11lbs-MBC ball and spring-walboro fuel pump-FMIC-SAFC-2-wideband-SOHC MAF(new) running 6in 6out on the safc-SSAC manifold w/ turbo back 3" exhaust-timing is @ 15deg-running atmospheric BOV, Blitz -all injectors and plugs are working (i unplugged one at time)and ive got new plugs and there gapped at .30 BKR7E NGK'sNow the problemIm getting alot of lag in power.it feels as if ive got a huge turbo or something! The powerband starts at 4000rpms and up,and if i give too much throttle it hesitates.

its definately a timing issue because i fiddled with the cas and it got a little better, but still laggy, only high end power.

today i timed the car and went for a test drive, but it felt very slow and i felt as if i was hurting it so i stopped and went back to the shop. So then put it at TDC and pulled off the valve cover. everything was in order the cas was almost right on. I thought that maybe im off a tooth on the timing chain, but it was all correct cam position.

So my question is what else could i possiblly check? ignitor? cas?

PS: im pretty confident in the timing procedure i used, and i did notice that when i plugged the tps back in the timing was off a little (making it rediculously slow with backfiring etc.) ,so i just corrected it with it plugged in and it feels the same (drivable/laggy/highend power only)

Where are you getting the timing signal from? Don't use the black loop at the back, clip the light on a spark plug wire between the coil pack and the spark plug.

i did that method, and my timing seems right on the money but, there is still a problem. im starting to think its something besides the timing, dont know what

i think you have a bad ecu. I remember when my ecu went bad my engine would misfire and lag very badly and only had power at the higher rpm range. and yes your problem may have gotten better when you messed with the cas but it did not fix it completely. This means it cannot be your timing. my guess is the ecu

Yes this could be a bad tps. I am not sure of what the voltage in and out should be at idle and wot. If you can find this out this would be the best thing to do. you could check this without spending a dime to figure out whether or not its your tps. another thing you could do is turn on your key and you will see the red led on the back of the ecu come on (you have to use a mirror) then start the engine, if the light stays on you have a bad ecu. on a side note, is your engine burning extremely rich? let us know
