today, i had to take off my taillight, and i noticed i had some creases when i installed my overlay, well when i took off my tail it lifted and wont stay back down, after trying to work out some of the creases then, it is even worse... so ive decided to niteshade my tails... my friend is really good at it, he has a tC, but did an AMAZING job at it. Only problem is that in my state, if i wanna keep it legal, im going to need to keep the reverse light untinted. While thats not hard to do, im worried its going to be even more obvious that it is pink, any ideas? i was thinking doing an extremely light coat on it to give it a greyish look.

anyone have any pics of niteshaded tail lights, other than whats in the tutorial, and if you do, with the reverse light untinted?

i know it still shows as white, but the lens looks pink. haha but i dunno... all i know is i cant black out the reverse like the tails cause that, and the unability to see the reflectors in the tail light make it illegal

Maybe it won't appear pink once the red is tinted. I think the light shining through there is what causes that. Go for it and let's see what happens.

alrihgt, thanks, and i mean it looks pink when its untinted, and in MD, to tint your tail lights and be legal you have to be able to see the reflectors, see light from 1000 ft away, and the reverse cant be tinted.

Skunk, he used night shades, same as me. I replaced my turn signals with white LEDs and it comes out pink, but not the reverse.

I have been debating doing something like this instead of just fully tinting the whole tail light.
