I just wanted to post up my experience removing the old rubber bushings and installing the new aluminum ones. All the posts that I read said that you should cut the inside metal piece out with a sawzall, but since I didnt have one I took a different route.

All I used for this install was a hacksaw and lots of fire. I just torched the rubber all around the metal insert from the top and bottom for maybe 5 minutes. The key is to torch both sides both top and bottom so you can get the rubber nice and burnt. Then I just took a pair of vice grips and twisted the middle part out. It came out pretty easily without having to cut anything. After that I just let the rest of the rubber burn off.

Just like some other posts said I carefully cut the remaining metal sleeve and then those just came out with a couple taps with a hammer.

when I use a torch all the bushings "pop" out. Pretty much best part of doing any bushing install.
