another stupid question by me.. how do i remove the window switches?

my smd led's just came and i want to remove the driver side switch panel how do i remove it do i have to take out the whole door panel or can i just remove the screw and pry the plastic part out?

also any one know weather the spider led brake light they sell at autoilluminations.com will fit the 2001 maxima light

I believe that you have to remove the door panel but i could be wrong. There is a screw in the bottom of the handle thing underneath a plastic cover pop that off and unscrew that. It will pop out and then you can pop off the bottom part of the door this is for the back doors. The front doors are a little more complicated.

if its anything like a 4th gen the swithces just pop out with the help of a trim tool or a flat head covered in something such as electrical tape. once out there will be a connection and two screws

tigers got it right. just pop it out with a screwdriver wrapped in elec tape.take out the screws(on front doors only), then unclip the connection from the switches!!

thanks yea you were right take the screw off and just pry it out, how do i do it on the back doors?

REAR:

1 remove screw in "finger pocket"2 slowly pry up the plastic cover with a screw driver 3 unsnap the switch from the connection housing
