Well my car has been giving me problems starting. When i first put the SR in my car i never had a problem. Over the months, i would gradually have a little more trouble starting the car. I would have to hold the clutch in and turn the key from the off to start position a few times to get it to turnover. At first it would only take a few tries... but then after a while now, it would take a lot more tries. What i did notice is that when it was really hot, humid outside, it would take almost 10 mins of off-start turning for it to start where as when it was cooler outside or nightime... it would either turnover right away or take like 2-3 off-start clicks to work. Well these past couple days it wont turnover at all. To get the car to drive I would have to pop the clutch. So I assumed it was the starter. Well i went to Enjuku, bought a used one, cleaned it up with special electrical contact cleaner, installed it, and still nothing. I checked that black clip that everyone says keeps coming loose and it is still tight on there. Checked to make sure the ground wire is firmly bolted on and its tight. So... i did some researching on the forums and people say check the inhibitor relay. So i took my friends off his 240 and plugged it in... sure enough, it didnt start but i notice i heard a sound that sounded like electrical current flowing through it. So i put my old one back on and still same result, but with no sound. So im like hmmm... i plug my friends back in and after 2 tries, it turned over! I was so happy. I thought i figured it out. Turned it off, and it turned again :-)... problem solved, right?? WRONG... i go to get something to eat... turn it off... come back 10 mins later, and still same problem! So i pop the hood, and didnt hear any sound when my friend turned the key, so i tapped it a couple times and i noticed when i tapped it, the current was goin through and it turned over! So i thought HIS relay was going bad. So we get it home, leave it over night. Come back... it turned over first try. I drive to nissan, buy a new relay and install it, and it STILL wont turn over. So we plug my friends into his car, and it starts right away... then we try the new one on his car and again, starts right away... not one time did it not start on his. WHAT THE HELL IS IT?!?!? lol. I cant figure it out. Im thinking of just running a wire directly to the battery to the starter and hopin that will fix it. Any ideas????
