so today i bought a 90 sr'd hatchback very happy with the purchase. -stock sr20-Carolina car- no rust(undercoated when it was first purchased)-front mount-lightweight flywheel/stage 3 clutch -no power steering -no ac - dont really care im more of a window guy-speedo on doesnt work/ tack does (jdm cluster)-adjustable kyb struts-pulls real nice and sounds great

but can someone tell me if its a blacktop or redtop, is there an engine code to look at, the guy i bought it from didnt even know what was in the engine bay. he said "its just another nissan"

-pics, just some phone ones for now i will get some new ones soon

money shot

Looks pretty good. How much did you pay for it?

it was a really good deal. i saw it at a little used car dealership. the dealer even gave me the guy who traded it in, number. after talking to him i figured it was a good deal. and well lets say it would probably cost a few hundred less for me to buy and sr and frontmount

if it has little tiny vertical cooling like fins on the front of the block right below the valve cover then it is most likely a blacktop or a late production redtop.
