I'm getting some KYB AGX's soon, and i need advice on what springs to get, i was thinking Eibach Pro-kit but does anyone have any other suggestions, perhaps something that doesn't drop the car as much, even though that much would still be O.K. and also where i could get these for cheap.

Thnx in advance

prokit barely drops. Still looks mostly stock. Much less than 1.8f/1.6r that eibach says it does. Most people get .75" rear, (what i got), and 1" front ( i got like 5/8" for some reason  ) Good riding spring though. very streetable.

H&R sports are comparable. Little stiffer.

Where did you get the H&R's?

Well, I don't have them. I got my Eibach's on ebay, and there are H&R's on there as well for about 180$US. I'm only saying that they are comparable in the drop they give, and their spring rates.I have no first hand experience with them on 240's. See the suspension FAQ.

The most popular setup seems to be the Pro-Kit and AGX for street use. The H&R is also very nice for handling but does tend to be a fit firmer when it comes to ride quality. We have both in stock:

I have the Tanabe GF springs w/ KYB AGX, they're perfect for me. 1.3" drop, they are linear rate and a bit stiffer than H&R and Eibach which are progressive springs, but they still are comfortable...If you want a little more performance from your springs look into the Tanabes or Suspension techniques (both linear rate).

Linear rate springs mean the rate of the spring is always consistent...A progressive rate spring is softer when first compressed and gets stiffer as it gets compressed down further...Progressive rate springs are basically for street cars because they retain comfort and really only start 'working hard' when they are being pushed...Linear rate springs aren't quite as soft but it doesn't mean they can't be comfortable...

Since you are getting AGXs I'm assuming you are somewhat serious about the handling of your car...so I'd probably recommend a linear rate spring...great match...

Springs don't change handling more than 3-4% [skid pad] in the nominal streetable drops [0.8-1.5"]. They change the feel of the car so people think it handles better. 90% of the ultimate handling comes from the tires. Which can increase handling [G forces] 2 to 3 times what street springs can with very soft compounds! On 240 sx redesigning oem sway bar rates can do as much if not more to increase handlings as 20% stiffer springs with half the downside in ride harshness.
