Hey all. So last Friday, I ordered a factory spoiler from a stealership. Two days ago I drop the car off for them to install it and later in the day I go there to pick her up. The spoiler ran me 415 and the installation was suppossed to be 185, however, when the car pulled up to the pick-up bay, I look at the spoiler and it looks perfect! Great! Unfortunately I then noticed that there was 6 DEEP scratches on the top of the trunk. I am pissed. They then say oh don't worry, we'll fix that and you can pick it up on Wed.

I get no call from them yesterday, and so I call them. They say that they tried to rub it out and almost got it so you couldn't see it, but it wasn't perfect. So they sent it to an off site body shop to completely re-paint the trunk. It won't be ready till friday. So now I don't think I'm going to pay for any of it, beacuse all of the trouble I had to go through with them.

Sorry, I just wanted to rant, because my car is not even a week old, and no person from the dealership fessed up to the mistake. The guy that put on the spoiler said that the scratches were already on the car before he put on the spoiler. And the worst part is that they tried to blame me for the scratch...

When my car was just 2 weeks old I took it to a car wash and the machine scratched the lower part of my front bumper about 6 inches long and deep, I looked at it and just got in my car drove off, I figured they would make it worse trying to fix it. It sucks having something new and your not the first one to scratch it, haha

Talk to the service manager. I had an issue with my local stealership and a brake pad install. Long story short, they verbally quoted me the price to install 2 axles for the price of 1, then told me I was crazy, and I made them hold it. Just go in and blackout on them, you'll get your due.

The spoiler install costs sound questionable to begin with.

It's a DIY that maybe takes :30 minutes. Did it.

What's their hourly ratein AZ, like $300?

It's like 130 per hour at the dealership (hence the "stealership") I just wanted the spoiler to be covered by warrenty. I guess I was asking too much! I asked how much it would be to take off the badges and they said it would take 2 hours, so 260. Then I said, "isn't it just flossing them off then taking off the sticky residue?" Then the guy backed off and said to do it myself then if I know what I'm doing... They always try to rip people off. I'm glad I have this forum to go to... haha

For real man, that guy should be ashamed of himself for charging that much. How does he sleep at night?

Well other than small stuff, like debadging and putting leds in the interior, etc. I'm not going to want to do anything too big. Maybe in a year or so I'll get an exhaust....

I actually have been driving my Coupe since August '07 and did ZERO modification until March of this year. One of the hardest thing Ive ever had to do, I always at least throw a system in my rides. I leased mine so wasnt sure if I was going to turn it in or not and didnt want to have to deal with gutting it. Once I bought it out, credit card debt through the roof...

I got my car back today. They said I couldn't pick it up yesterday because the paint had to cure overrnight. So I come to the dealership today, and it had been raining and alot of dust was pushed around, and the damn car was parked outside! It is covered in dirty raindrops and it would have been alot better in my garage over night. I'm even more pissed at the stupidity of this dealership and how much they don't care about the customer with a $32,000 car...

If anyone is in AZ and needs something done to their car, do not go to Pinnacle Nissan. Just some words of advice

How does the paint look? Remember, don't wash the area for about two weeks at least. Especially it's it's been moist out.

I can see a bunch of swirls on the trunk and there is a few new stratches and dings, but they said not to wash it for 2 days after paint, so I washed it today... However it is very hot and dry. That rain was just from a small monsoon the other night. It's okay.
