Hello Nico!

I'm new to NICO but ive been using this sites threads for help on my 1990 s13 ive been building for the past two months. I've seen a lot of helpful threads! And finally my 240 is up and running strong! but the body is in bad shape. I'm planning on getting the G4s Body kit from AIT racing. And I saw a silvia badge and silvia keys on ebay for fairly cheap. They're OEM from japan. and since my 240 has no nissan badge on there I was thinking the Silvia badge would look great since the new bumper sticks out more. The Color scheme of the car is going to be black with lime green trim and lime green rims. Like a shade of green mixed with a bit of yellow. neon green. "Chartreuse" I guess. I want this car to look clean as F*** because me and my noob financially able business partner are very competitive. He just got him a 2008 mustang gt hes been customizing. He never touches the Engine so I think after I get my turbo going ill have him on the highway. (I've got the Ka24De And Forged Pistons just need someone to install turbo and tune) So!! POINT IS!!! The emblem is black with a green trim. I think it might look cool on this new bumper even tho its politically incorrect haha. Not sure if it will look too ricish. Im gonna attach images of the bumper and emblem. Tell me what you guys think. its much appriciated. I Don't want to over do anything. The car is going to be a sleeper after all.

I'm not a huge fan of the S14 emblems on S13s. I think you would be better off getting a 180SX rear garnish and leaving the front unmolested. If you want it to look clean, that emblem is just going to make it look more riced out.

Welcome to NICO.

If you want to put that stuff on your car, you should do it, but neon green wheels and paint is far from being sleeper. If you want sleeper, keep the outside completely stock and beat up, and just simply do a ls1 swap.

Yeah, neon crap doesn't belong anywhere near a sleeper.

Yeah... decided not going with the emblem. Its too much... and too rice... thinking of just keeping the bumper blank.

ok im going a bit off topic now but Honestly?! Black on black with green rims bad idea???

My vision is Clean. Sleek. Grabs just enough attention. The interiors is lit with dim green neon lights atm. And im gonna be putting some Green LED bulbs in the Gauge cluster soon. As for everything else. Inside it will be black with chrome trim. I actually got the Color scheme idea from Danny Domenech's Rx-7 at Sumospeed.

Yeah, nowhere near sleeper.

Here are a few real sleepers.

And a super proper sleeper:

And of course they have an equal amount of effort put into suspension and chassis to support all this.

Putting on highlighter wheels and lighting up your car like a lasertag isn't going how you build a sleeper.
But it's your car, do whatever you want.

Anytime you put anything "eyecatching" on the car, it loses the ability to be considered a sleeper. I also lump flat black rattle cans in that category, too. Lime green rims are just a bit too much to be considered sleeper. I don't think I'd even consider them for a "clean" car. If you want sleeper/clean, get some regular polished wheels with an average offset. Massive dishing on the rear wheels will kill a sleeper look IMO as will over lowering your car. A sleeper is really something that I can drive by a cop with and not expect them to eyeball me the whole way.
