Another short shifter ?

Well, I just bought my '95 240 a few days ago, and I know I want to go SR later in the future. Until that time I want to mod my car in other areas while I'm saving up for the swap. I was looking into getting a short shifter, I heard the b+m is a good product. My question is, if I buy the shifter and install it would it be compatible with the SR. And, yes I searched but I didn't find any related questions or answers to my question. The closest was about a '90 240. I just want to make sure so I wouldn't be throwing money away.

thanx guys, i've also read that the short shifter will make a rattle or clinging noise. When does it make that noise, when the car is idle, driving, or just when you shift?
