I installed 92 TCS Engine into a standard 91! Installed complete motor and trans as one unit from the top with hood removed and that was a *****! Removed all of the TCS parts from the TB which you know is longer and has a lot more stuff on the left bank side of the VC area compared to the standard Q! The TCS style EGR remains in place so I guess it's the BPT EGR located on the front of left bank over top of CAS and had to splice and extend the BPT harness to rear from the #1 area to the CAS area! Anyhow car started fine after doing the normal procedures to get proper fuel and oil pressure before starting but, later started having that dreaded mis-fire which sounds like the Injectors as Q's are famous for! Manually checked codes and all was clear sop I checked injectors at the harness and out of the eight prongs the 2 from the left on the top read 164 OHM's! WOW! All the rest were 14 OHM's I'm pretty sure that this one is number 7 cylinder/injector right? Well when I OHM it at the injector I got a reading of 14 OHM so what's next! Is my Harness bad or is it in the ECU or is the mis-fire from another source! I just started this so haven't tried everything but, Idle is at 750 range once it's warmed up but. the more it runs the more it mis-fires. Really stumbles on takeoff I will take all suggestions before I start the diag. and U know I have all the parts to play with. I noticed that there's an extra harness on the right bank over top of the KS and Injector harness! If I'm correct that is for the TCS so the standard harness wouldn't have a plug for this!

The connector plug pins read as follows:

1 7 6 48 3 5 2

Just a long shot but you didn't switch the #1 and #7 FI plugs when putting it all back together? I think I would also check the continuity of the wires to #1 and #7. Maybe you have a bad harness. Good luck.

YES I was right about the pins #7 is the 2nd from the top left! I haven't taken Plenum off yet Mike plus it would be hard to switch these by mistake with #1 up at the front and #7 at the rear fire wall. Plus they have the numbers highlighted!
