Another Rod knock post

i looked @ the other rod knock posts but still wasnt sure...(im sorry this is kind of a double post as i replied to someone elses...but since he was answerd i thought id make my own post)

took the car out about a week ago and my wife NEVER drives it so i told her to....about 3miles away from home its starts tapping loud as hell all the way through the rpms...from idle up...(couldnt isolate the sound)...since we were @ our destination we parked it and i let the turbo timer shut it off (while tryin to isolate where the sound was coming fom)....we went on to do what we had to do and i said id limp it home because i was SURE it was knockin (im pissed cuz im leavin to japan in 6 months and was hoping not to spend any more money) so we come out of the store ready to "limp" it home...and NOTHING....purrs like a kitten ??????????????so yesterday on my way to work my hot pipe blew off and the noise came back ...im thoroughly confused...do u all think this is rod knock...i dont wanna keep driving the car if it is but its my daily...if i have to rebuild/ so be it...ill just strip the car and take the parts w/ me lol..
