Im new to this forum, Im looking to buy a 240sx body style (1988-1993). Can someone give me a break down of what engine came in what year cars? What eninge came stock in the US 240SX? RB,SR,KA ? I see alot of the classifieds with the "sr" engine did it come stock? Which is the best engine? Im looking for performance only in mind....Thanks for the help in advance!

research first before posting up threads like these( old timers on here get annoyed by questions that have already been answered or can be found through using the flashing red search button)...use the search button...and check out each forum first for info...read read read.

The US 240sx came with the KA24DE only. People like swapping it out for the SR20DET, RB20/25/26, CA18DET, VG30DETT, etc. etc. Check wikipedia.com and here for info on the engines. This site should be your best bet on finding all the info you can have.

And asking which is the best engine is not the best idea...it only sparks massive debates...it all depends on your budget, your preferences, how much power you want, etc. etc.
