I guess I'm on Cadillac's mailing list or something. I got a nice look at the final STS.Here's some scans from the brochure:

They pushed the lights back and brought the grille out.

A tap shifter!

RWD, ZF steering, magneride.

Looks sharp.

Equivalent of Infiniti's Intelligent Key.Equivalent of Infiniti's radar cruise.

I -love- the traditional stacked controls.None of that weird high-mounted center pod silliness.

Notice the nose was pulled out.Lights pushed back.Nice clean tail.

Booyeah!!!!

Damn that is so golden

How ironic that cadillac came out with an engine that equals the VH45DE. 320hp/315tq!!!!!

Nice car. Not sure what college has to do with being able to afford one though. Maybe if I went to med school.

Ideally one would not spend more than 15% of after tax on transportation per month say $1000 say $7,000/mo net or $11k/gross = $130k/yr.

Even the average PHD is only $90k [much lower for teachers].You gotta have at engineering BS and an MBA and maybe an MS

Yep, shoulda went to med school. My coworker/friend is getting his MBA from UCLA in 3 weeks. He does have his BS/MS in engineering. Maybe I'll hit him up for a loan in a year.

After some rough calcs, it appears that 15% of my after-tax income will barely enable me to drive...a well-maintained 1990 Q45.

Ahh, "finish college" for me includes grad school... acquiring an MBA on top of a bachelor's in bus. admin.

LOL, I'm at $6000-$12000/yr, 70-80% spent on the Q. Thank GOD for parents.

Forget med school...you have to do at least a 4 year internship/residency where you make minimum wage before earning the big bucks. Chiropractors and dentistry is where the new money is. As insurance companies are starting to pay for chiropractic care, if you have an office in the right location, you can make a killing.

With dentistry, straight out of school with no residency (as none is required), you can make anywhere from $80,000 to $150,000, with the average being about $120K. Once you own your own practice, it gets even better.

Lets see....What percentage?I ALWAYS buy used.(It is such a better bargain.)

I am currently earning 5 (five) times what my father made (unadjusted) when he retired 12 years ago. Even then I was making 3 (three) times what he was earning. His education included a BA in English, Masters degree in Education and a Doctorate in Education. And I am still under six figure income! I only recieved my Bachelors two years ago, and have seen no "increase in pay" (or respect, or any thing else) because of it. Nice looking car, but GM and Cadillac are still not my cup'o tea.

Med school is NOT a fast-track to big $$$. Too many student loans...

Go get an MBA, your CPA, or an engineering degree - far smarter.

But please note, a college degree will not guarantee one is not gullible enough to buy another failed GM product.

It will take considerable time to reinvent the image to the entire car world. At least now they are making products which could possibly be thought of, as doing so.

Caddy has come a long way from the Cimmaron

True - I drove an SRX recently and was BLOWN AWAY.

If it looked a little sleeker, it'd definitely be on the short list. Almost as fun to drive as an FX45.

I feel sorry for all those suckers buying escalades for the bling factor.. Paying all that money, and they are saddled with the old fugly GM interior.. meanwhile the SRX owners get the latest and greatest..

I think the CTS V is the hottest thing to come from the US in ages. With the bangled 5, BMW owners just may be looking to break through :)

well, im working on my BS in computer information technology, the MCSE certs, and i have my A+, and CCNA.

after i get my BS, im going for my MS in IT, and possibly a BS in electrical engineering.

university of phoenix online is awesome, you can work full time, and still go to school.

maybe in 3 or 4 years i can afford a new Q45
