Finished up another RB20 swap!! took only 3 days for me to do it-- thanks to all the help here on the board with the stickies and all. Its a '90 Fastback used to be single cam- swapped with a KA24De then we swapped in the RB20. Car is still in the primered stage. I told the owner to leave the car like that, that way I didnt scratch or blemish the paint during the swap process.lol Engine was ordered from JHOt this thing had 42,000 miles on it and it looked like somebody pulled the engine apart before we got it- cleaned it inside and out then shipped it to me. I mean this thing was in immaculate condition. anyways engine is still stock except for elbow, downpipe, and cat-back exhaust. HKS filter and a stage2 clutch also. Heres some pics of the swap, enjoy!!

the R32 Xmember nestled the engine almost perfectly for me. didnt even have to cut out the hood brace for clearance.

should be pretty fun, my s13 was and it was a boat (supah hicas car).most fun ive ever had in a rb powered car was in my s13, i miss the old girl.as for JHOT as an engine supplier they have been pretty good imho, all of their motors are in good condition, mine was nearly mint with no sign of long oil change intervals (golding of the head in the cam valleys), glad to hear its going well.

That blue was a good choice on the valve covers and good work by the way.

That blue reminds me of my RB25!

Clean install, I'm really digging the blue valvecovers. Would look perfect if the timing cover was the same blue.

By the way, your friend sure dressed pretty for an engine install, huh?

Yeah well he pretty much sat around and watched me install everything, but I managed to get him to tape off and paint the engine bay.
