Doh!! Yeh, Thanks Wes,Some of your acronyms have a slightly different interpretation "Down Under".

Wes, that MB clue was all that I needed for something to follow up on. The local MB Service Dept. Mgr. knew exactly what I was talking about. I sent him what specs/ I have on the "A" and he recommends a MB product (mineral oil) that I can buy off the shelf. You guys said it was expensive @ $11 US a can. This stuff is $40+AU per Lt. and I believe I need 5.7 liters. A local Ford mechanic and "Z" (low 12's) rev head now tells me that "Castrol Mineral Hydraulic Oil" @ $15 AU per Liter is the ducks guts.

Decisions! Decisions!!!

The Q is sitting there waiting for me to decide which fluid to use.I think I had better make an appointment ($175 Au)with my shrink for counseling before I make that call. What do you blokes recon?

Heres a couple threads I found. Look for TexasOil's posts, and ONLY use the stuff he recommends

texasoil wrote: What kind of active fluid did you use? I do hope I misread or you mis-typed. Type A? The only substitute for Nissian Active would be either MBZ hydraulic oil, Castroil Active suspension oil (LHM), or Aircraft Hydraulic Oil AA (MIL-H- 5106) ATF fluid i snot a good substitute since it contains a bunch of additives designed to control the shift feel characteristics. I make no promises about seal compatibility with ATF and the active system.
There you go!!!!

Fair bloody dinkum Wes you are a life saver!!I hunted for the threads as you suggested and couldn't find anything. I was doing something wrong. As I said, I emailed TEXASOIL and am waiting a reply.Have canceled the appointment with my shrink (that saved me $175 already). I have a Mate who ownes an aircraft repair business and he owes me the odd favor or ten so I recon I'll give him a call first thing Monday and collect on past favors. Another $250+ saved. Means I can afford to get more stuffs (loved the threads from "TANGALORA") fixed on the Q.Thanks
