I've got three questions, all involving my KA, all rather urgent, all work will be done by me.____________________

1. how would FRESH OIL happen to leak out of the exhaust side of the motor, from where the headgasket is?

especially with a fresh cometic and ARP headstuds torqued to spec.

i noticed this happening right after i fixed the past leaks in the motor and swapped it into another 240. im VERY confused about this. if anyone can explain that'd be great.

2. also, ive got a Felpro, but its OEM bore size, mines over .020", it wont work right?

3. AND, Cometics...reusable?

cometic reuseable yes but use copper spray when reinstalling. it happens quite often with those gaskets.

Okay, after searching about this problem, ive seen a few threads where this has happened, and apparently re-torquing, or further torquing the headbolts/studs could fix the leaking?

anyone?

i always tighten internal stuff according to the FSM. so yeah. starting from the center, criss crossing towards the outside.

thing is, i torqued to 65lbs...but from the torque wrench, the six inch 1/2" extension, 1/2" to 3/8" adapter, and the 12mm deepwell socket, some of the torque was lost during torquing.

i spent the day taking my cams out, undoing all the nuts, and again, according to the FSM's pattern, torqued the nuts to 40lbs, then to 60lbs, then to 80lbs. i figure itll be around 75lbs.

ill find out tomorrow if it cured my problem, anyone who reads this, pray for me. ill update when i find out.
