Okay so look. I have not even put on 10000 miles on this car. Ive had it for almost two years now only leaving my garage for test runs. Were sitting at 96,*** miles. Ive been working on it for what seems like forever. FINALLY got it on the road back in November and she runs so smooth! All 8 Phase 2 injectors from deatcshwerks, plenum job couldn't have gone any more perfect thanks to all of your posts. Front kingpins upper/lower bearings, as well as balljoints < what a pain in the *** that was!. Tokico blues front/back. Starter, fuel pump, Various coolant and power steering issues. Verified metal backed timing chain guides. deleted rear mufflers with 3 inch piping and cutout switch. Liquids flushed and transmission serviced. As well as chrome mirrors, rear spoiler, pillars and a few more small body pieces yet to even go on the car! And I was looking forward in attempting a turbo this spring but...... this happened. I still have my truck lock to fix and driversside door as well as 2 busted ashtrays but that's nothing. but we were ALMOST THERE! SO close! And now on the way to get groceries my girlfriend put it into a pole! She said a blue S10 cut her off and she rear ended him and slid into the pole at 35MPH. I wasn't even gonna put it on the road until spring because of the snow but my transmission is about toast in my the pathfinder i have been beating on for a while.

Hood is bent, bumper is done along with the skirt and "grille" front right headlight/side marker, both fenders look pushed a touch. Looking at $4200 in body parts, brackets, stiffeners, reinforcements, ETC from IOS which i hear comes painted for you. Tack on another 500+ for shipping. Then labor if i end up not doing it myself. That is IF no mechanical/suspension problems are found. I havent looked at any of the front suspension but i suspect damage. It started and ran but that is all i did with her. I will flatbed her to a friends body shop on monday and go from there. Am trying to get some pics posted but having complications with the PC.

Now i ask. I love this car, I have stayed up countless nights working on it and cleaning every square inch of her. even with the 4200 of body parts, could i get this baby back? is it worth it to go this much further and not be able to get it back? I am still in shock and dumbfounded by this whole situation. The air bag did not deploy as well so that probably another grand right there. I'm sitting steady at about 10 grand total on this car. Any tips? questions or comments, i could use a hand on this decision. I mean, i could TRY and find another one and put another 600 hours into that one.

Man I hate these threads. Might be worth posting some pics. to get better input. I don't think IOS parts come pre-painted, so I would try to find quality used parts if you're going to have to have it painted anyway.

At least it's good that your GF wasn't injured either during or after the crash. Talk about a hard phone call to make - I'm surprised she didn't apply for the federal witness protection program after all of the work you did!

Do you love it, if so fix it. That what I would have done to my first Car/Q45 but my parents said otherwise.

I have a Q45 part car I have a ton of things from except the body (Hood, fenders...) Let me know I will give you a great price because I don't want to see another Q45 gone and because its Christmas.

Hope your GF is fine.

Happy Holidays!

The only pic i can get to work. It says enough............. only other real things missing is the crease in my hood and the skirt that is sagging on both sides by the wheel well below the fender

so i take it i should lose all hopes of repairing this........ I think im gonna make my gf start stripping so i can get a new one...............Well it doesnt look too bad but i gotta get that bumper off to see what type of damage were looking at. I figure if its over 5g gonna just yank out everything i put into it and well wait for another one. I mean i originally only spent 1200 on the thing but it turned into quite the investment, AND IT WASNT EVEN FINISHED! a friend of mine still has his 240 that has been sitting for like 4 years i might want to check out. Maybe i can at least salvage the motor. Not even 100k on it, i cant believe this happened. I shouldnt have started drinkin at noon so i could have gone myself. And yeah, my gf just had a nice big ole bruise on her leg from the steering wheel. Some luck there

I really dont think that it looks that bad, if you can get some front end pieces from a rear ended Q that may not be that bad.

Body repair isnt a big deal especially if you arent looking at frame damage! Its way easier to find body parts than to find another Q especially if yours is minty!

well i found a 92 for sale in Florida and its the same color! If i get it for a grand it will cost me 900 bucks ontop of that to have it shipped. A whopping 2300 dollar difference for body parts. Plus if its used by the time i get everything off i will know how it goes back on. From the pics i see it looks great. I always wanted a new hood before this all happened. It might be possible! From what i have researched, 92 and 93 are exactly the same in the front. This is going to get "fun". I will keep posting i guess for those of you who may care! I really don't want to give up on this car. I'm getting my hopes up too soon though. We will find out this week though.

Okay, got the bumper and hood off. Fairly lucky with this one. Wiper fluid reservoir is smashed, battery tray and radiator support bracket or whatever you want to call itas well. No leaks, radiator is fine, One of the Bumper mounts is bent but fixable. Fan shroud cracked, Located a matching hood and passenger side fender. NEED drivers side fender, bumper and support, as well as radiator support bracket.... Can you say road trip?

I would toss a $150 aftermarket CSF radiator in there while it is apart, especially if yours is original or an older replacement. Stress cracks on the plastic end tanks have a funny way about revealing themselves down the road! Now is the time while it is apart and drained.
