OK heres the problem. There is this annoying rattle right around 2000rpm and one right around 3000rpm. It sounds like a loose medal panel under the car. Its just bugging me when i have the windows down. Anyone had this problem before?

Could be a heat shield on the exhaust that has broken loose.

Definitely check the heat shield on the exhaust. The Datsun used to rattle in a similar way all the time, at a specified RPM range.

Ditto the heat shield. Heres a tip, tighten it down, dont remove it. If you remove it, you will notice your right heel melting.

can u just remove the shields & use thermo wrap instead?

i noticed that the previous owner had remove them & during the warmer months, it does get kinda warm...

I'm thinking of wrapping it up; any negative side effects from doing that?

It could also be a timing chain bracket. Do a search for "timing chain retention bracket" or something similar. It seems almost everyone here has had that problem. It is an easy fix and makes a lot less noise. If there is a noise coming from the front of your valve cover, then that is probably it. If you can't find the fix, then email me, and I will tell you how to fix it.
