ok so before the accident i was wasing my car and i noticed that the plastic covers infront of the rear tires on the body were starting to come off. I decided it would be best to take it off... but it wasnt. it left like this sticky gluish type thing behing and i used a sticker remover to remove MOST of it. unfortunately i have marks of the glue thats still on my car and they are darker that the diamond graphite so they look terrible -_- does anybody have any suggestions on how to remove it? would i have to get touch up paint for it?

and another thing, i was looking at my front bumper right now and i have 3 rather large scratches right smack in the middle of the bumper. totally made my day a little lesss happy. what can i do to get them off? would i have to repaint the bumper? they seem to be semi deep

Try using a body cleaner (non abrasive) for the glue. Maybe even a good cleaner wax.

How deep were the scratches you're talking about? All the way through the paint? Sorry to hear about your bad day.

I would use goo gone. Works great for sticky, gum residue left from letters and body panels.

About Your bumper scratches. If it is into the paint,a repaint is usually needed. If it is on the surface,You can rub it out.Get some rubbing compounds.3M makes liquid compounds in bottles, that is easy to find and use.Get a bottle of each, fine, medium, coarse.Pep boys usually has them.Start with fine,on a soft cloth by hand.Go slow and check progress often. After a few applications,if the scratch is not diminishing, try the medium. If the medium doesnt work,go on to the coarse, but be careful, because the coarse is very abrasive.FOR ALL THESE,GO SLOW,AND CHECK OFTEN.Even if the scratch is into the paint, rubbing it out will make it look better.Follow all this up with a polish, and then Your choice of sealant wax or glaze.Jeff F
