ive got a 91 240sx se and have issues with my power windows, primarily the drivers side. i dont know if its the plug connected to the p/w amp or the amp assembly itself but all i get is a clicking sound from the amp when i use the switch. itll work if i push on the wires at the amp while pushing the switch but its annoying as hell when i have to tear off the door panel every time i want the window up or down. ive tried searching for this part all i get is a number for a power window relay, not an amp. are the various parts sites talking aboot the same part? is there a way to bypass the amp?

Sounds like it's just a loose connector. Disconnect it and make sure the contacts aren't dirty, then use a tiny flathead screwdriver to bend the metal prongs in each connector so that they make better contact with each other.
