Ok, so ive searched all over for this and the write up i wanted to use for custom power steering lines is gone from the racebread forum, and i want to say i'm not the only one looking for this info, so i'm kinda stuck and I need some help...

Does anyone know what the fittings are to use to adapt from the pump to the line and the line to the rack? And what fittings need to be on the end of the lines? It was the perfect write up and I was sad to see it gone but if someone still has the info, it will be a life saver.

i have a sohc car, i had to use dohc lines and they worked perfect. I have a rb20. cheaper finding dohc ones than having new ones made...I guess that answers your question, i never seen that link your looking for, but that worked for me

I understand that they will work and everything but i'm going for a cleaner look and i want to put in a cooler. I work at an auto parts store and we have a machine shop that can make the lines, i just wanted to get the part numbers for the fittings so its presentable.

The above link is what used to have the info for the lines but i can't get it to work. I knew I should have saved it

haha that is one of my favorite write-ups from racebread. I have it printed out, so maybe I can scan it in tonight or at least come up with a parts list.

my swap came with the powersteering line off the top of the pump. I was able to weld the stock line to the r33 line. There is a section on both lines that is circular. Hard to explain and I would probably need to take pics but I spent no money.

Xguy, I was able to have my local hydraulic shop set me up with a hose made to my specifications and adapters. It is not too far off the price of using AN stuff, but you can index the 90degree fittings very easily with this method. Ill put up photos this weekend after it gets installed.

well, I work at a bumper to bumper parts store and I can get the fittings and stuff from here so I'm deciding to go that way. There is a few places around here that can make up some lines for me but I also like the cleaner look the line will give me and plus it's blue which is kinda the theme im going for. but I would still like to see what you got. plus, you live in madison, like an hour away from me, if i like it maybe you could give me the number of the place you had it done.

I wanted a black, OEM looking connection and hose. I have a box of AN parts I could have probably used but it was so inexpensive to go with the industrial parts. Plus, no matter where I am.. if something happens I can get another one made fast.

You should post up some photos after your done as well. You should join http://midwest240sx.forumotion.com/forum.htm there are quite a few guys from WI.

To be honest, i wouldn't mind black either. if you don't mind me askin, how much did it cost? i just got my motor in and now i have to get the little things together to make it all work and thats one of my next purchases.

Also, a little of the line topic, the lower bracket for the p/s pump to slide on for tension purposes, i don't have one. I was just going to fab something up but if anyone has got one for sale or something, you should let me know.

Well, sounds like you don't need it within the next few seconds so Ill go ahead and finish hooking it all up. Ill give a full price once I get photos posted etc. I suspect Ill have 50ish bucks in the whole thing.

That isn't bad considering that if you go the other way it costs more like 100 bucks.
