Another power steering question

Like alot of people im thinking of ditching the PS on my s14. Rather then just disconnect the lines and use the same rack I would like to swap in a manual style rack. I know the 240s didnt have that option, so my question is has anyone tryed a rack and pinion off somthing else? I remeber reading that someone thought a 80s 280zx manual rack would work. Also how different are the s13 and s14 racks? Does anyone have any measurements and/or pics of a s14 rack?

power steering doesnt suck that much horsepower. Why do you want to ditch it. Thats alot of work to gain a few horsepower. You wont notice a difference either. Leave your air compressor on there too.

Honestly its not all about the hp for me. I have always liked driving simple cars without PS. Not to be confused with cars that have power steering but know its disconnected. There is a difference, thats why I want to swap in another manual rack. I was hoping to find someone that has done it.

well my only thought on the simple cars is a 32 hiboy roadster. Then you wont have to mess with any pesky hoses or anything.
