Ive heard of ppl having problems w/ the obx s-shifters, I would suggest trying to sell it to someone and getting the B&M kit.....it works great....higher price, but its worth it trust me

All the problems I've seen from OBX/Pilot/SRR shifters have been from a botched install...

Remove it, check out the parts, put it back together properly...and unless it's missing a part, I'll bet it works better.

And FWIW, Ihave the B&M on my turbo S14, ad the OBX/Pilot/SRR on my dialy driver S13...and although the B&M is better, it's not worth the extra $150 IMO. I had to have the best for my turbo car, but I'd be just as happy today with a cheap-o short shifter...

Yes.

Stock shifter is sloppy, and super long throws.

Any upgrade is a big improvement, especially for $75 on eBay (that's for the OBX type, which are a knock off of the "C's" shifter).
