Here's a video of another cop unjustly attacking a bicyclist in NYC and filing false reports. I'd say this is worse than the last one that we saw.

yea...thats just appalling

I am quickly begining to think something drastic needs to be done about the law enforcement in this country.

So far this week...cop tasers guy 9 times including twice after hes deadcop tasers kid who fell off a bridge 12 times because the kid wouldn't get up...his back was brokenthe incident you posted

then a couple weeks ago there was the whole thing in MD. with a person being killed while in solitary confinement, and the corrections officers all completely clam up.

Think about the things these guys do that would put any of us in jail. Cops wonder why people dislike them when they don't stand up to their colleagues for pulling this crap.

Its just sad. Do we really have to start video taping everything the cops do in order to bring credibility? If charges were filed against this guy, the guy would have no chance in winning because a court will take a cop's word over a civilians any day because cops are to "protect and serve" so they do no wrong. Any sane person looking at that video would be able to say the biker clearly tried to avoid the cop while he was walking, but the cop took it to the next level and checked him off for no apparent reason, arrested and filed claims against him because he got a booboo on his arm. All he gets is desk duty? The guy assaulted a civilian for no real reason. If you have a demonstration going on, either you arrest everyone or no one unless you have the select few who are out of control.

This is how you start a possible riot.

As I've said 100 times, we don't hold people truly accountable for their actions. Police included....

Good Police officers have a rough job because the bad ones make the public have an ugly, albeit warranted, distrust.

Personally I will never trust any Gov agency...ever. On the other hand, some people need to be beatin and tazered and I'd rather they were killed outright.

My wife, one of the "good" law enforcement officers, saw that tape and had zero sympathy for the cop. Outside of witnessing that particular rider actually striking someone and refusing to stop he was unjustified in taking the rider down in the manner he did. If they had witnessed such a situation, the other officer would have teamed with him to get him off that bike.

Bear in mind that my wife is a staunch defender of the cop in virtually every videotape case until the tape is put in context. Usually there is a lot that took place before and during the taping that needs to be taken in to account.

As a bike rider myself, I really don't like those critical mass rides. If the intent truly is to raise bicycle awareness among motorists, they need to stress following the vehicle laws during their rides. Slower traffic to the right, obey stop signs and red lights, etc. Riders around here constantly incite rage in motorists when they rush through a stop sign or red light without slowing down. Those motorists many times take it out on the next bicyclist they come close to.

You know, I wonder what would happen if I "accidentally" hit a biker that streaked through a red light or an intersection controlled by stop signs? I've always wondered that because bikers do it all the time and they must not realize its against the law, that they have to abide by the same rules as motorized vehicles, and how much danger they put themselves in in doing so.

99% of them do know it's against the law. They look, judge whether they can make it or not and fly through, believing that maintaining their momentum is more important than obeying the laws they are supposed to follow.

I wonder how these idiots would feel if, since gas is over $4 a gallon, people in cars arbitrarily decided that it was in their best interest to maintain a steady speed and run stops signs and red lights around bicyclists.
