Well i have an interesting problem. the car will crank but i am getting no injector pulse and no spark either. the red led on the ecu is illuminated, i do have fuel pressure also, i did self diagnositics on the ecu and came up with a code 55 which supposedly a good to go code. a little background, i had this motor and harness in a 92 hatch a few months back and it ran great, until the wreck. the car i am using now is a 90 hatch, i went a head and swaped the clusters and rewired the 5 necessary wires(no AC) under the dash for it to work. even with the ecu not hooked up and the battery connected , i have a constant check engine light even with the key out of the car, and my fuel gauge is off the charts also. as for the no start condition unfortunatlly i have the battery in the back and was dumb enough not to label the wires, therefore leading me to put the wrong wires to the wrong terminals. i have checked all fusible links all fuses all grounds and still can't figure out the problem, i thought that maybe it was the ecu, but the fuel pump is working plus the self diag gave the code 55. next, the only thing on the motor that was damaged in the wreck was the CAS i got another one that had the plug broken off the but the pins were still in good straight condition. is it possible that maybe the CAS is bad and that's why i'm not getting any injector pulse or spark, any help would be greatly appriciated. thanks

the only thing i rewired was the plug that was under the dash because the plugs did not match up, i followed the instructions on heavy throttle's web site

Sounds like a CAS or ECU issue.

Pull the cover on the ECU and check closely for burnt solder joints. Common issue on the earlier S13 ECU's I've found.

Turn the power to ON, remove the CAS, and spin it by hand. If you don't hear injector or spark tick then you have no CAS signal, or the ECU is dead.

At this point it would be best to try someone elses CAS or ECU on your car.
