Yes, and also from that "other" Infiniti site.

No, my own two kids are a handfull, being in their early twenties living at home while in college. All they want to do is borrow my G.

How do you compare the G37 against the last one? You had a '04 G35 coupe, correct?

That’s correct. My G37 is quite improved over my old G35. Specifically:

• The interior and instrument cluster are much more to my liking.• No more pop-up nav screen, which I hated.• The nav system, in general, is much improved, including a touch screen, voiced street names, traffic info via XM, backup camera, 3-D graphics, bluetooth integration, none of which the ’04 G35 had.• Voice commands work much better and have a faster response. IMHO, hacking the system to manually input destinations while moving is not necessary. I can do it faster now when on the move through voice commands (But that old argument is for another post, I guess.). • The G37 is, of course, more powerful (330 vs. 280hp).• The car is quieter and the ride is smoother.• I love the 9.3GB hard drive where I’ve already put in 20 of my favorite CD’s with more to come (I think the limit is around 300.).• My hood stays up via hydraulic pistons rather than that old find-the-hole stick-up rod.• The oil dip stick is easy to use. On the G35, it was so hard to get in and out I gave up bothering.• The keyless entry and ignition that the G35 did not have is a joy.• Brake dust, a weekly rim cleaning annoyance on the G35 coupe, is hardly present.

I could go on.

The Nav system does not require DVD's anymore either as updates are uploaded via Infiniti. I too like the '07 G35/'08 G37 style gauges as well. Orange was not my color.

i agree with you very much about the interior, the lack of brake dust, the performance, and the push button engine start/stop....cant speak to the Nav, since i didnt have it on my 04 G35, nor do i have it now....I thought the brake dust problem on the 04 G was such a super pain in the a**

Hi there. I thought I might be the oldest. I'm 65. I was originally set to buy a GT-R, but have become disillusioned by the low number available and insane markups, so I got the G37 6MT instead. Maybe in a year or two the GT-Rs will be available and reasonably priced. But at 65 you sometimes hesitate to delay and go for the gusto while you can. So I went for the G37.I posted about the exhaust note earlier. Do you think your G37 is not as throaty as your G35?I do. Of course your hearing and..... goes as you get up there in age. Maybe that's my problem since only one or two people responded.

I agree my G37 is not as throaty as my old G35 coupe. But I’m not much into mods, so I would never consider scrapping a perfectly new and functional exhaust system.

Perhaps you enjoy it too when other drivers turn around and seem to say, “Hey, what’s that old man doing in a young person’s car? Why doesn’t he get a Buick like he’s supposed to?”

The Exhaust of the G37 is designed to be more quiet than the G35. Of course, some want that roar and will upgrade to another exhaust system simply for the sound. Since you were looking at the GT-R, I'm sure Stillen and Greddy will come out with a bolt-on TT setup if more power is what you are looking for.

One good thing about NICO is that we have a decent age range here (unless you browse the 240 forums ).

Well, I never drove an "old fart car". Buick? ughh!! I was a car nut when I was born and always went for something unique and stylish. Drove mostly German cars until about 10 years ago when I got fed up with the junk and their attitude. Glad I went Japanese. I've had turboed Subarus and am into Nissan products now. Love the Maxima and the Armada as well as the G37.Still hopin' to get the GT-R while I can still drive it up to top speed (197?) HAHA.

Well, in my “youth” (around 40) I drove a Porsche 914 and then a Datsun 280ZX. I sure got my share of tickets with those. But when I got married and had a few kids I had to moderate my car choices a bit so I bought 1991 Maxima. Those commercials advertising it as a four door sports car sold me. But now the kids are grown so I went back to hotter machines, upgrading to a G35 coupe, and now with a G37.

Actually, my first car was a used ’57 Chevrolet Bel Air. I wish I had that car again.

besides Buick sedans down here in S Fla(though I happen to love the Enclave SUV), the ubiquitous Grand Marquis is a popular car with the older set....bench seat in front means 3 couples get to travel in style to the early bird special at 430
