Hello all...Here to say hello, and clear the air..and maybe get some help.

I had a VW Rabbit 5-speed for 3 years, it was a lease. However it goes back the end of this month. Now I just bought a 1990 240sx today...It's an automatic, I bought it off a friend here in Miami for $1,000. Great condition in the inside. The outside needs some tlc...Front right fender and bumper. Not a problem...

Here is the problem...First of all...The steering wheel shakes like no other. I've had a 1992 honda civic, 1992 honda accord, and my first car a 1990 toyota celica...all manual transmission. So I'm not new to Japanese old school cars. However I am new to an automatic 4 cycl. Well, the wheel feels really loose to me...Maybe because I'm also used to front wheel drive? I'm not sure....Maybe I'm just ALSO spoiled by having a 2008 for the last three years and need to take my skirt off...Haven't turned a wrench before today in 3 years.

My main concern is when the A/C is on, the car idles way too low for comfort...Makes me a little nervous..Why? My hondas and toyota kind of did the same thing, but they never turned off on me. :(

I'll post pics tomorrow if you guys want. Right now it's dark out. I've ALWAYS wanted this car and I love it...I just hope nothing is in need of major work.

Sorry to come off so strong. It's been a long time.

Thank you all in advance.

Steering wheel shake can be different things depending on the mods done. But look around your steering knuckle for the exhaust being to close and possibly vibrating it. Most likely buy a bushing set and replace your busted old ones. take off the front wheels and look at the condition of you front suspension and brakes.

Welcome! ^ Like he said check those but I got a feeling the wheels probably weren't rotated and balanced, or a bent rim.
