what's up everyone. just bought an 04 sedan and had a few questions about it and was hoping you guys could help out. First off there's a light on the dash that says AWD, it only comes on for a few seconds when you turn the ign and then goes out. Does that mean my car has AWD? next on the list, are there any known issues i need to know about this car? and finally, does anyone know of a way to make it so that i can enter destinations into my nave while i'm driving? All info would be appreciated

It sounds like you may have all wheel drive. I would not be surprised if that light exist on non AWD cars but it seems like it would be non-functional.

Now take it someplace slippery and gun the car a little bit and see if it lights up. Otherwise climb under it and see if you have some half shafts going to the front wheels.

Also are the wheels staggered? If they are then You will have a problem with the AWD setup!

Welcome!!!

you should have AWD... you will love it... but to be sure check the right side of the steering wheel, slightly under the dash, and see if you have a "snow mode" button... thats a dead give away for AWD.

Yep got the snow button, but i thought the awd drive g35's had an emblem on the back that said g35x? But what do i know i'm new to infiniti's. I've been driving a benz for the last 5 years until some snot nose kid who had only had his license for 2 weeks slammed into the back of it at a stop sign going 50 mph.

Luckily for me i am a fabricator at Dreamworks Motorsports (anyone who reads Rides Magazine will know who we are) so there will be plenty of mods on the way. we just yanked out half the interior and started wrapping and reupholstering it in gator and suede. got my sights set on a twin turbo, comming this summer. I've only had the car for 2 weeks, and i already had the 22's from another car i had briefly. typically i put my cars in the dirt as soon as possible, however i have been considering bagging it with the 22's on it here lately.

i think the color is called pewter, kind of a slightly tan grey

Welcome to NICO! Not sure about the AWD. Maybe the 22's freaked the sensors out! LOL! I would write down the VIN and call a dealer to have them run it to see what your car has.

The fact that you can not make changes to your NAV is a safety concern. They really do not want you driving while trying to play with to many other things. Like texting, dialing, playing with your GF etc.

Enjoy!

Easiest way to tell is if you have half shafts going into your front hubs....

Should be easy to spot when you get some decent rims :-p

Hey, I also recently bought an 04 sedan, and when I start up AWD does NOT show up. I know for a fact however that mine doesn't have AWD, so I think it's pretty safe to assume that yours does.

to ur gbut dang it them some big ol rims. ya youd need a TT setup to make your car go anywhere with those anchors. but first off id recommend a drop/bags would be sexy. with the type of look your going for.

AWD light should only be for G35X. Similar light does not exist on my 2003 Sedan.

Snow mode button will only exist on AWD equipped vehicles...from everything I've read.

You will see the AWD light kick on maybe if you start to lose traction or from 0-10 mph (approx) normally.

awd is verified. we checked the vini'm torn between getting some smaller wheels and a really nice set of coilovers or baggin it on the 22's. I found a sexy kit that would look really nasty tuckin 22's
