Hello all,

I just recently got back from a deployment to Iraq. I purchased a low mileage 2003 350z enthusiast. The 6spd shifts smooth and I will admit its actually a nice transition. I have owned several hondas and my last car was a 350whp wrx. I bought this car because it was an amazing deal and the my original intention was to give it to the wife. Not anymore. Its a great daily and I plan on doing some tasteful mods to the car. I have read the FAQ sections and have been doing alot of research. I mostly use forums for there search engines so I dont like to post whore. OTher than that I figured I would add a small list of the mods I am looking to do.

Nismo Exhaust (just because i can pick one up locally used here in ga) Nismo LMGT4 Wheels (I will be waiting until i find a used set of course) Plenum Spacer Aftermarket Springs (Dont want to spend $2500 on coilovers like my last car) Set of test pipes Rear diff gear change and new lsd

I will be attending some local autox events with the car. I got so crazy with my subaru that all daily driveability went out the window. Just want to keep it clean.

I would be interested in hearing from people with the 3.9 or 4.1 rear gears on how there highway cruising and mpg changed. I am not interested in 150mph highway pulls but I dont want to be cruising 70mph at 5k either! Anywho.. If anyone is near savannah and needs help with anything feel free to pm me!

First, welcome to NICO.Second, thanks for your service to America. Nissan USA should provide all returning soldiers with a Z. Now that would be a legit COMMEMORATIVE Z.

Well since you mentioned questions.. I just purchased a used Nismo Catback exhaust off of ebay from a guy who said he took it off because of a lease turn in. Anywho.. I installed the catback yesterday and noticed that it had way less power and would not rev over 5k. It seems like there is way to much pressure because of a restriction somewhere. I took it back off and shook it to see if there was any "pieces" that were broken in it. I didnt hear anything. Anyone got any suggestions on where to look first. I sent the seller an email stating that we needed to work out a way to do a full refund and I can return the product. If not there will be a dispute opened. Thanks guys and gals!

Did you use new exhaust gaskets to ensure it was not leaking exhaust? Hell, it's just a cat back so run some water into it to see if it is blocked somewhere you can't see.

^^What he said..... that and the seller could have lied to you about the reason for getting rid of the exhaust.
