Hey guys, I've been on this forum for a few years now. I started visiting NICO when I was looking for my first car, a 240sx. Since last fall, I wanted a G35 and I began visiting the G35 section to learn. I really liked this car since it was first released and now I finally have one to call my own.

Its a 2008 Journey w/ Premium package. Only 7 miles when drove it off the dealer lot.

I LOVE this thing! I've been modding my NA 240 for while now but as soon as I tried driving it again after a few days of the G, it made me truly realize that an old car is an old car no matter what you add to it. The 240 is obviously slower, all the squeaks and rattles became very apparent, and the loud exhaust made me experience the 'all sound and no go' feeling.

Anyways, I have a few questions:

1) At work I have to park my car in an outside lot and ocasionally it gets pooped on by birds. I cant avoid it no matter where I try parking in the lot. Anyone know a good way to remove any droppings without scratching the paint? I'm looking for something I can carry in my trunk to use anytime this happens.

2) I don't like the stock wheels or the 18in wheels that come in the sport package. I've always like the look of better OEM wheels of other cars by the same maker. I am thinking in the lines of how S13 240 owners use S14 SE wheels or Z wheels. Does anyone have pics of G37 wheels or M35 wheels on a G35 Sedan?

Thanks for the help guys

NICE G!!!

For the bird poo... I just use water. My car always has a pretty thick coat of wax on it so water and a micro fiber towel work great.

Don't know about the wheels.

I have 17x9.5 Mustang Bullitt rims for my G but they are track use only?

WOO HOO! Another Victim! J/K

You're going to love the G (As you already may know)... I love the color!

As far as your questions, there's a lot of talk lately about Zaino products. Check the past threads as SVTCobra swears up and down about it. (I think he pours it over his cheerios in the morning)

I'd either get a car cover or a pellet gun to deal with the bird crap!

As far as the rims go, I like the M35/45 rims but I don't know about the fitting on the G... someone will jump in soon.

Congrats again on the purchase and welcome to the G Family!

Welcome to NICO

I use Poland spring that I refill at work. I keep a roll of paper towels in my trunk. Also a roll of toilet paper for any emergencies while on the road. Sometimes their is no toilet paper at rest stops I hate that

Hawt car!! Congrats!!

Geez... you Sedans are taking over!

When I get bird poop on mine, I generally just use water and a crap towel asap to take it off. Because your colour is dark, you'll want to be careful with swirl marks for sure. Sooo with that said +1 for microfibre.

I have yet to see a Member here with M35 wheels though. I like yours much better then the M35 IMHO.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes guys. The first time I got my hood pooped, I tried water and paper towels. It was pretty hot and that pooh looked as if it got baked onto the hood. Unfortunately I couldn't avoid the swirl marks

Nice Car!! Time to add it to your info

For the poop, when you remove it, make sure to not wipe it in the paint. Treat it like a carpet stain and pull it off first.

Congrats and welcome to the Infiniti family!! Now you'll need some scratch removing polish to get rid of the swirl. Meguiar's ScratchX will do the trick.

Very nice!!!!

For bird poop, I keep a bottle of Zaino detail spray and a cotton towel in the trunk. I also keep several coats of Zaino on them.

There's a product called Tropics Shield that is supposed to make stuff like bird poop just come off with water.

I'd make sure you have a nice thick coat of wax.

There's also another waterless was and wax that I used to carry in my car. It works pretty well as long as you don't over do it.
