New to the forum, just got a 1997 pathfinder SE 4x4 manual trans. not that long ago and decided to try it out on some mild four bying. I constantly scrapped the hitch going over some cross ditches so i was thinking of a lift. If i went with the OME 1.75" lift, HD coils in the front med in the back with KYB struts would i have to get manual hubs or would the CV joint be fine?

You never have to but I would suggest it. I've said it before on here that I tore-up a couple of CV's before I ever lifted mine. It all depends on how rough you are on your suspension.

You can get what I have (AC 2" lift) from here https://www.4x4parts.com/catal...=1551

OME is actually only about 1-1.25" after it settles

I got new poly bushings when I did it plus all new strut mount hardware: but get the OEM strut mounts (there is nothing better than stock Nissan for that) the other aftermarket stuff is sh*t! I don't run with any sway bars (or at least the front has been broken for a couple of years & the rear has been removed for about as long) so I wouldn't know what to tell you on that subject.

If you just want the 2" lift coils you can do that, for like $360, but I I suggest getting new struts & shocks & all the other fun stuff. The link that I sent you to is the same setup I run.

fukinitup- nice job on your pathfinder.I have a '03, I am figuring I have struts in the front and shocks in the rear?I always felt my rear suspension was too soft, do the Rancho provide a better ride? Also, how could get a 2" coil spring lift for cheaper than the 4x4parts.com price of hundreds of $?I am figuring when I replace my suspension I would throw a small lift into it. Right now looks like kyb is a way to go.

Thanks
