Previously I stated that my 96 Q was road tested and the knock sensor code came up.A few days before that test I had the ks's ohmed and they were within the range where they are suppose to be.Since having recently the ks's replaced, I am wondering if the sensors popped the code in erroror something else popped the code and I just wasted money on the replacement.Though probably money well spent since they would fail eventually.Still wondering though.

If you have the old ones, test them with a DVM.

The "knock sensor code" does not always mean the knock sensors themselves are the problem- it could be anything in the entire knock sensor circuit, including the wiring, connectors, even a bad solder joint or pin on the ECU that controls this subsystem.
