So I ordered an isis short throw shifter from enjuku racing on tuesday and somehow it showed up yesterday (I've had really good luck with them, and their customer service is killer). Finally got around to installing it today and i was/am very impressed. The fitment was perfect, no drilling or any modifying needed. My old one had a cracked bushing that slid up the shaft so there was a ton of play and a slight metal clinking noise when in first. Now the shifts are perfect and I was really surprised on how short the shifts actually were (never been in a car with a short throw). I took some pics but my camera is not wanting to work right now so as soon as it works i ll try to post some. The only thing i can say is if you can drop the transmission a bit do it! I didnt and just getting the front right bolt back in and tight took me more time then taking everything else off and installing the other five (the new shifter had a slightly larger in diameter base than stock so i couldnt get my fingers in to tighten it).

Moral of the story, Im one more satisfied customer of Enjuku and ISIS.

I agree. I really like my Isis shifter. One thing I did though was replace the bushing on the bottom with a new oem nylon one from Nissan. When I first installed it it shifted smooth and awesome. After a while it was harder to find gears. I remembered reading that someone else switched bushings so I did it as well. The bushing that came with it came off and was loose in the hole. This is characteristic with any aftermarket shifter bushing though.

Cool beans, I have one too. Although I installed a Brass bushing from RHDJapan instead of the crappy nylon one. SOOO Much better, and JDM ballerish.

right on! Well i was going to replace it too but didnt though because i was too lazy and really wanted to replace my old shifter. I cant believe the difference, but like you all have said, im probably going to need to replace it after while. I like the idea of a not nylon one, so ill look into that. thanks!

Well, I gave it a good review at first but I'm there is this ANNOYING a** rattle coming from it lately. It was there in the beginning but I think I was just taking the the good with the bad. I took off my shift knob and its not that, though it does magnify the noise when its on. Anyone else have the rattle? Seems to be when I pull up on the shifter it will slightly dull the noise. For $70 its worth it. Just rattles when you're in gear and off the gas; for me atleast.

i bought one, i really enjoy it, but above 4k it rattles really bad. i think i need to pull off where the dust boot slips over, remove the snap ring and slide that collar off. i was thinking of putting a thin layer of silicone to act as a vibration dampner, has anyone tried this?overall, i would recommend this product, im really happy with mine!

edit, i just remembered i have the circuit sports short throw, good product.

if you are referring to me, yes i have the circuit sports one installed. i think it was like $80 and i know what part is rattling. once i get some time i will fix it. its just annoying, but you dont notice it much with daily driving, i dont run my car too hard so its not really an issue.
