this question was asked in another thread, but never answered. What does the dealership say when you bring your car in and they see the aftermarket injen intake. I could only imagine what they would say if you leased, but for a buyer is there really anything they can say? And, do they document it in case anything in the future goes wrong with your a/c? I'm also planning on getting the Nismo Cat-Back exhaust in a week which is a genuine Nissan part. How does the Nissan's warranty dept. feel about these two minor modifications if anything at all. Thanks

both of these questions have been answered in other threads and the Intake FAQ also has it.

1. They can't do nothing unless they can prove that it caused something else to fail

2. Nismo is the racing development of Nissan so all the parts are under warrrantty

Just because Nismo is connected to Nissan does NOT mean that all parts are under warranty. If the description says "off road only", that's a clue. And any part you install MAY void the warranty, if the dealer can show that by installing that part, you caused the failure. If the DEALER installs it, you have more of a case.

Same thing goes for TRD and their parts, especially the superchargers.

S-Tune NISMO parts carry a basic warranty of 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. However, the parts are warrantied by the factory only if they are purchased and installed at the point of purchase of the vehicle, in that case the regular 3 month 36,000 Nissan warranty applies. So, in effect, the parts themselves are warrantied for 12 months or 12k miles (not fully clear if they require a dealer to perform the install for _this_ warranty). Parts that are installed on a new vehicle for you via the dealership will be covered within the standard 3/36 car warranty.

R-Tune products are not covered by the Nissan manufacturer's warranty (other than replacement of faulty "new" parts) and some of the products can and will void your factory warranty.

Even if your car is leased, just bring it back to stock at the end of the lease. I don't even bring my car into the same dealership to get it serviced.
