I remember coming across a thread. A member was comparing both of the intakes. And I can't find that thread. I have searched for awhile, can't seem to find it. Can someone link it to me?

everyone who ordered when the intakes first came availible ordered the injen as did i. everyone ordering now seems to be ordering the fujita. what's up with this. the injen costs a bit more but i believe that the transmission heat shield is beneficial for the cost. injen = warm air short ram intakefujita = hot air short ram intakei understand that the air temp in the upper engine compartment is the same regardless of intake brand, but i believe the heat shield will protect your filter and give your car cooler air when at idle and times when the only air being moved in your engine compartment is the air being pulled into your motor. my 2 pesos, for what it's worth

adk, if you go back to that forum and look at his install job it was nothing short of weak. he should've turned the whole intake counter clockwise a quarter turn while leaving the heat shield in place, but instead he just ordered the smaller filtered more compact fujita. and, has that guy ever wiped down his engine compartment. i guess not. look at his injen in the last pic.

That was me who did the comparison and 08altima35, i spent hours trying to position it correctly but the tip of the heatshield kept smacking into the foam like stuff near the battery preventing it from sitting IN. Ive seen other people who actually had it in and i tried over and over but to no avail with no progress. If the injen was maybe 20-30 dollars cheaper id see it being a bit more beneficial but considering that it is only THIN piece of metal with such a high price raise. And also the kit itself that came with the fujita was much more consumer friendly. I still have my injen sitting in my closet, the fujita filter is NOT smaller then the injen. And it was the little differences in the fujita that made me keep that in my engine bay. And yes i know its dirty, i haven't even hit 3k yet on my car, why wipe it down so early?

When the weather clears up i was planning on installing the injen using the fujita clamps and a couple other components and see how well it sits. But in terms of sound, the fujita sounds cleaner. Performance isn't enough to notice too much of a difference

I agree with gatorglaze here, the injen placement of the wire harness is a joke....why? As far as the so called heat shield (lol) you can easily make a better one for the price difference..Plus reading the injen posts here there quality control sucks too. (bad welds, mixed and matched heatshields).
