so on my hunt for a cheap way to spice up my ugly stock wheels im looking at these......18 inch (2" larger than my wheels) escalade wheels and rubber...all brand new. (who couldnt use brand new tires) all for $900. deal? here are pics of what they should look like on my q....do you guys think its worth it? I dont feel like spending over $1000 for rims+Tires, so id rather just LEAVE it but if i get a good deal ill take it. Will these fit though? Id plan on getting lower profile tires later on.

This set will fit many models: YUKON, SUBBURBAN, SILVERADO, TAHOE, DENALI, ALL LARGE 6 BOLT PATTERN GM TRUCKS AND SUV’S SOME NISSAN AND TOYOTA

btw, my goal is a larger rim and a smaller profile tire. Im trying to keep the circumference the same so my spedometer is accurate and i dont need to upgrade brakes. I want 18's with med profiles. Id get 20's if they were cheap but they arent because everyone wants "dubs" im not in it for the bling factor its just for a more appealing look, they dont have to be chrome or have tiny profile, I want a useable everyday tire but not so balloon looking as the ones i have. So any decent looking 18 inch rim would be awesome. This escalade rim is an idea, im not sure itd look that good and id have to figure out a way to get rid of the caddy symbol. (its like putting a cowboy hat freshener in a nissan xterra...yep my dad did it.) but i think i can get flashier rims and tires the way id want for a little more dough

you're definitely going to want to take the larger tires off those rims and go low-profile. I think it would look sick!!

i like the earlier 17" escalade wheels in chrome. I almost bought a set (rims only) for $150 but i passed.

The lug patterns match up (6 on 5.5) ~but~ the center bore is too small on the chevy rims. They will not fit over your stock hubs without a machine shop boring it out to at least 4" diameter

but it can be done and several lowrider nissan guys have already done it

in my opinion, once you buy the escalade rims and pay to get them bored, you've already spent as much as you would have for any other aftermarket wheels..... take that into consideration

i recently took a set of escalade 17"s to a machine shop. 20 bucks a rim to get bored, excellent job, but i'm down in new orleans. really not that bad to get factory wheels to fit, especially if they're the ones you want. btw, they went on a 93 hardbody, same lug pattern and center bore like yours as you know. i know you can get a set of 18" 6 spoke'02-'05 denali wheels w/ or w/o the gmc logo on the centercaps. they also have a couple of companies that manufacture 20" denali knockoffs, chrome or polished, ya just gotta do a little research. i'll check some companies when i get back to work on monday.
