I was wondering if the stock intake piping (the hard plastic ones) could be used for a cold pipe if your running a SMIC? The reason I ask is that the stock SR and CA cold pipes look almost identical to the factory KA pipes. Thanks -Jake

its probably possible I suppose. I forgot if that plastic was sturdy or not, but keep in mind that even the cold pipe can get pretty warm while you're boosting... IT probably wont melt but it might heat up and deform, causing you boost leaks....

I would just use a regular pipe... the cost is really not that big of a difference...

i've seen non-intercooled setups using the stock intake pipe to 7psi

are you sure the factory SR pipes are plastic?

if the stock SR pipes arent plastic they have the same exact look as the stock KA ones but then again im not sure
